CS+ | The Road Runner | Build 036 - Evari

The Evari 856 CS+ Road Runner Special Edition

This one-off build celebrates the very best of what we do at Evari: collaboration, craft, and engineering precision. Designed for our client, Keith, this CS+ was a six-week journey from first sketches through to the final handover.

Colour + theme artwork

Keith came to us with two clear requirements: a deep, candy-finish frameset inspired by the Mazda colour palette, and custom artwork celebrating his love of Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote. The drive-side dropout carries Wile E. Coyote in hot pursuit, while the non-drive side proudly features Roadrunner. From the outset, this project was about marrying playful, iconic characters with uncompromising design detail.

Every one-off Evari begins in 2D.

We map out the frame graphics, colour blocking, and placement of every design element long before paint hits carbon. This not only gives our clients confidence in the direction, it also sets the stage for the incredibly detailed paintwork to follow.

For this project we once again worked with Tom at Kustom Flow, a long-term partner and master craftsman in bicycle paintwork. Tom takes our drawings and translates them into precision stencils, allowing him to layer colours and graphics with exacting accuracy. With a background in illustration and years of hands-on experience in high-end spraying, Tom’s process is both technical and artistic — the perfect match for our design-led approach.

Achieving Keith’s requested finish required multiple stages: base coats, stencil applications, colour layers, and finally, three coats of deep lacquer to create the rich ‘wet look’. This meticulous process is what gives the bike its remarkable depth and candy-like sheen — a finish that changes subtly with light and angle.

The Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner illustrations are more than just decals — they are integrated into the paintwork itself. Every edge, every line is hand-finished. This level of detail requires patience and precision, and it’s where Tom’s skill truly shines.

Once the frameset returned from Kustom Flow, we built up the CS+ to Keith’s exact specification.

One standout choice was his decision to upgrade the cockpit: moving from the standard two-piece alloy-and-carbon arrangement to a full one-piece carbon handlebar with a seamlessly integrated Supernova mini light. The result is clean, elegant, and highly functional.

With its deep lacquered candy red and character-driven details, this CS+ is unmistakable. The frameset reflects not just Keith’s vision, but also the shared effort between rider, designer, and craftsman. This is what a one-off Evari is all about.

Handover / Ride

The project concluded where all the best projects should: on the road. We personally delivered the bike to Keith and took him out for a ride. It’s our way of not only introducing the features and care of the bike, but also of sharing in that first ride joy - the moment a customer feels the bike come alive under them.

The Road Runner Special Edition is a testament to the value of collaboration and the depth of detail that defines every Evari.
Each one-off build is as much a story as it is a machine — and this one, like all the best stories, ends with a rider smiling from ear to ear.
